1st Soccer game

This last Friday, the 24th, was my first game as a soccer coach. I am coaching Hailey's team, the first graders. We have had three soccer practices and now one game. We won 5-1 in a dominant effort from our youngsters. I almost lost my voice encouraging our team on. I have been so blessed in coaching this team. The parents have been supportive and the kids are great. Each one so unique and special. I hope to eventually coach older kids, but this is a perfect fit for me right now.

His Law

I had such a good time watching, "The Way of the Master" tonight. What an awesome show. The part I enjoy the most is when they go to the streets and speak with others. I wish I was as bold as they are. One thing they said tonight that seemed so obvious and undeniable was that the Lord has written the requirments of His law on our hearts. Everyone's conscience bore witness to that fact. Everyone has some sort of moral law in there heart. You don't have to tell people that it is not right to steal. That it is not right to lie to others. There own conscience tells them. Another good point, or illustration was about the sharing of the good news. They explained it like this. A friend we all know was holding a stick of dynamite and enjoying the excitement that he derived from looking at the fuse burning. We are standing next to him with a popcycle, trying to get him to lick it. And what happens alot of the time is that the person with the stick of dynamite holds onto it with one hand while licking the popcycle with his other hand. No turning away or getting away from that which will lead to death, but just accepting both. He might enjoy the popcycle, but not in the end. Anyway, I thought it a good illustration.

Kids

There is nothing better after a hard day then coming home and seeing my precious kids running to the door to greet me. Smiles on there faces. Excited. We are really into watching, "Little House on the Prairie" lately. I like the show, but after you have heard the theme song over a hundred times, well you get the point. The tune is getting a bit old. But it sure has been nice spending quality time together. Hailey is almost 7 yrs. old and Nate is 5 yrs. old. I love there sweet innocence. They trust me so much. There is nothing that I wouldn't do for them.
